Volleyball is my passion. Through this sport, I have learned how to be a good leader and how to compete. I have learned that hard work and sacrifice don’t guarantee success, but they do put you in a position to succeed. They put you on the right path and this is a journey I am constantly on and look forward to taking from now until I graduate college.
I take pride in the quest for perfecting my game. This includes working with my varsity and travel teams on extra workouts, as well as with my trainer. I’ve learned to balance my time between volleyball and my school work. Most times studying in the car on the way to our travel team practices (about an hour away). It’s not always the best conditions, but I have a burning desire to succeed and have kept a high grade point average.
I am always looking for ways to improve my volleyball skills. I constantly text my high school coach for extra workouts on days I am not at practice. I am involved in a year around strength and conditioning program, I sign up for extra camps and training with my club, and go to college camps in the summer.
When it comes to choosing the right college, I do not know what exact degree I will choose but am excited for that next challenge in my life. My goal is to be a successful college student and a college athlete playing the sport I love. I know if I continue to work hard I will make my dream come true.
