Hello! My name is Ashley Alford and I love volleyball. I play club volleyball for FaR Out and school volleyball for Mount Pleasant High School.
I am a six rotational player that is comfortable playing anywhere. I play OH during club, OH while at high school, and played MB for several years in both club and school volleyball.
As a Freshman in Oklahoma I played for Mount Saint Mary High School. I played OH and Setter for the Junior Varsity team, and Middle Blocker for Varsity. I earned Offensive Player Of the Year for the Junior Varsity Team, and was a State Semifinalist with the Varsity Team.
As a Sophomore I played Middle Blocker for Mount Saint Mary High School . I led the team in Hitting Percentage and was second in Blocks. I earned a State Championship with a record of 25-3.
Upon moving to Michigan as a Junior I played Outside Hitter and Opposite for Mount Pleasant High School. I led the team in Aces, and was 2nd in both Hitting Percentage and Kills. We finished 2nd in our Conference. I earned Saginaw Valley Conference All Academic Team, Saginaw Valley Conference 1st Team, and MIVCA All Region 2nd Team.
As a Senior I was named Team Captain for Mount Pleasant High School and played as a 6 rotation OH. My team reached the Regional Finals, which was the best in the last 40 years. I earned Saginaw Valley Conference MVP, Saginaw Valley Conference All Academic Team, Saginaw Valley Conference 1st Team member, All Area 1st Team, MIVCA All Region Team, and Division 1 All-State HM. I led the team in Kills and Aces, and was 2nd in Hitting Percentage and Digs.
I played for Texas Advantage Volleyball (TAV) as a member of their 11 Black team and the 12 Blue team. Upon moving to Oklahoma, I played for Oklahoma Peak Performance (OP2). I was on the 13 National team, 14 National team, 15 National team and 16 National team. I attended the 2014 USA HP Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma as a member of the 2014 OKRVA HP Team as a Middle Blocker, and the 2014 USA Select A3 training program at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO as an Middle Blocker.
In the classroom I am a strong student. I am a member of the Community Service Club, 2017 and 2018 Saginaw Valley Academic All Conference Team, and 4 year member of the Honor Roll.
