Hi, I'm Emma LaBarge and I've been playing volleyball for about six years now. I weigh 122 lbs, I'm 6'0", and have a vertical of 9'4". I am a middle and outside hitter, however my main position is middle. I'm currently a sophmore (class of 2021) and made the varsity volleyball team in the previous year at Oxford High School. At the end of the season, I was awarded the most improved player and I am currently a starter. A few months ago I was nominated for the 2018 JVA watchlist and have recently been nominated for the Phenom list. I have played club for all six of the years that I have been playing and have played school for the past four. I am very hardworking and committed to volleyball as well as my academics. I finished 7/385 in my class in the previous year with a 4.0 GPA. I will continue to work on my academics to further improve my knowledge. I will also work to improve at volleyball which is why I am working to get stronger and improve my vertical. I always give 110% at practice and keep a positive attitude, whether we're 20 points behind or ahead in the game. I also always cheer on my teammates and try to better the ball in each play. I am fully committed to this sport and to improving my abilities in it.
I am excited to be invited to the 2018 AVCA Phenom College Prep. Program next weekend Dec. 14, 2018 in Minneapolis Minnesota :)
