Personal Statement

Hello Coaches,

As I move into my Senior year it is obviously bittersweet.  I have been playing since the 4th grade!  I am a dedicated strong leader & Captain, supportive player and teammate. I strive to be the hardest working player for my high school & club teams and have a positive & respectful attitude towards my coaches & team-mates. I am a very competitive person, and I want to do my best at all times. I am a player that likes to be pushed, and work as hard as I can to continually improve.

I love to motivate my teammates, push them to be their best, and pick them up when the team is down. I hold high standards for myself by maintaining good grades, being involved in school activities and by doing service hours.  My dream is to get a great college education, play volleyball for a school I love, and lead my team to a national title.

The most wonderful compliment I've received is from one of my own teammates this past season.  I inspired her to be a better player from my willingness to work hard and do everything I could to help my team succeed.  To know that inspires me to keep working to be the best I can be!

I am undecided on a major at this time but am starting to consider Marketing and Sports Management.  I am willing to explore any option in the US at this point for a competitive Division I, II or III if it’s the right fit.  I believe I can bring strong, solid and uplifting play & attitude to any team I choose!

Thank you very much for considering me.  Please don't hesitate to contact me or my coaches with any questions.

Mya Minjares

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
