Set backs. Fatigue. Loss.
Every person, no matter what sport you play, will experience these things. I believe it is what you do with these challenges that define you the most, as an athlete and a person. I have gone through surgery, loss of championships, and having everything hurt so bad I don't want to move. I could've chosen to give up. To quit. However, I chose to push through and become better than before injuries. I try to learn from my mistakes, keep moving forward, and encourage my team. These events over the past 9 years of volleyball have made me realize how much I value this game. I have always wanted to play to the best of my abilities at the highest level I could because that's where I was happy. Simple as that. I know what it is like to want to play and be unable to. I have always been willing to play whatever position necessary in order to give my team the best chance at success. I knew I could compete anywhere my team needed me to be. I love the growth of character this game compels within me. I am committed, hardworking, encouraging and excited to see what I can offer my teammates, coaches, school and community at the collegiate level. Thank you.
