My name is Jasmine “JJ” Weidemann, My primary position is a setter and secondary position being a libero for the class of 2021. I am a well-rounded / vocal leader that adds energy & value at multiple positions. I enjoy playing as a setter/libero on the court because it gives me the opportunity to utilize my leadership skills and lead my team to success. I am very privileged to work with coaches around the country during the year to keep improving my skills and strategic thinking.
For the past four years, I have been selected for and participated in USAV's High Performance Program. In 2017, I was selected as a libero on the Continental team that participated at the HP Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Also, in 2017 I attended the USA HP Holiday Camp in Colorado Springs, CO. In 2016, also participated in the A1 Program as a setter in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In 2015 & 2014, as a setter, I was selected for the A1 teams that competed New Orleans, LA & Grand Rapids, MI respectively
JO Club volleyball, I have been a setter and played as a 6 rotation player. I can successfully run a 5-1 and a 6-2 offense. The past two seasons I have played in the AAU JO National Tournament in Orlando, FL. Both years in 2016 & 2017 I earned honors on the All-Tournament Team.
I am searching for the best blend of high level volleyball and academic excellence. I am confident that I will also excel in the collegiate environment as a student-athlete. I am looking to attend a school that can recognize me for both my volleyball and academic skills, and I believe that I am fully prepared to meet the challenge of playing at the next level. I truly believe that nothing is simply given to you and you must work hard in order to achieve the things you want the most in life.
