One of my favorite quotes is “Struggle and criticism are prerequisites for greatness.” -Richard Williams (a.k.a. Prince Ea) I have experienced setbacks during my career in volleyball but instead of letting those obstacles defeat me, they have fueled my desire to reach my goals. I am determined to continue my volleyball career by playing at the highest collegiate level that my abilities will allow.
I have a severely disabled sister, Avery, who has helped to shape me into the person I am today. She has taught me the true meaning of determination, perseverance, and mental toughness. Every day is a struggle for her yet she moves through each day with a smile on her face. She is amazing!
Doing well in school is very important to me. I put in the time and effort necessary to achieve the standards I have set for myself. I would like to pursue a career in science because I want to make a difference in the lives of others as I have witnessed first hand how great that difference can be.
