Shelby Dybdal '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since I was six years old. Ever since I first stepped on the court, I have looked up to those of a higher skill than me and aspired to reach their level of success. Being in the gym and on the court has been and always will be my happy place.  From the day I can remember playing in college has always been my dream. 

I have a strong block and a quick eye for what my opponents may be running. I try my best to be a team leader and encouraging my teammates to strive to fix their mistakes with the next play instead of getting down on themselves. Everyday I am working very hard to become more coachable and play the game I love with an open mind, as change is always happening in the game of volleyball. 

In school being successful and maintaining good grades is very important to me. I strive for constantly improving my grades even if it is just by a singular percent. I am always trying to help myself and those around me be academically successful.
