Throughout my childhood, sports were always a big part of my life. Growing up I competed in dance and gymnastics until my 8th-grade year, played softball for 6 years, and now I compete in track and field and volleyball. Volleyball quickly became a focus in my life. I love being apart of a team and knowing that you always have a second family you can lean on. I will never take for granted the bonds that turn into lifelong friendships. My favorite part of the day is getting in the gym with my teammates and making huge gains, personally and as a team.
Academics are super important to me as well. I hope to pursue a job in the medical field. Not 100% sure which area specifically but I hope to get a better idea as I would like to shadow different areas.
In the past year, I have been trained to be a back-row player as well. So I love playing back row as much as I do playing outside. To me, that outstanding kill feels just as good as the amazing diving play you just made. I appreciate my back row players a lot more now because I realize that my kill couldn't have been possible without the first pass. I continue to focus on my different shots as well as my out of system plays.
