After six years of playing club and school volleyball, I have learned many valuable lessons that make me into the player I am today. I've learned work ethic, responsibility, and an open mind for improvement. Overall, the most important lesson I've learned is putting your team first. Putting your team first means you lead on and off of the court, you try your best to make everyone on the court a better player, and you play where your coach puts you to better the team. Volleyball has taught me to focus on the fundamentals before moving on. Focus on fundamentals has helped my team win games, and has helped me be successful in both academics and life in general. Volleyball has created a mindset that I can always continue to grow athletically and academically. The sport has also taught me to dream big. I am looking for a college that has a strong academic program that provides opportunities for me to learn and improve on and off the court.
