Personal Statement

I have played volleyball since the third grade. I remember going to watch college volleyball games at a young age, and was inspired to play myself. I started playing club volleyball when I was eleven, and realized that I would like to play at the collegiate level. By playing club volleyball it has given me great opportunities to play at a very high skill level and to develop a stronger game.  I feel I am a very driven, hard working person. When I set a goal I will work hard to achieve it.
I am a team leader, and have been captain of my club teams the last 6 years. I try to lead my team by positive examples and lots of encouragement. When I am on and off the court, I always give 100% effort in everything I do. I am a committed and dedicated student-athlete, I work hard to maintain good grades and to be model student  by being a Junior Ambassador at my high school. Not only am I dedicated to school and volleyball, but also I do a tremendous amount of volunteer work within my community,  I serve on the junior board at the St. Louis Crisis Nursery.  I have approximately 500 volunteer hours going into my junior year.
I participated in Girl Scouts for the past 11 years. I have earn every religious award within Girl Scouts and recently have completed my Girl Scout Gold Award. This award is the highest award that a Girl Scout can earn. Another sport that I participated in for seven years was Karate. During that time, I was on the demonstration team, won several competition medals, and earned my Adult Black Belt.
My position on the court is outside hitter and I play all the way around. I have a strong top spin serve and decent defense skills too. I think of myself as a well rounded player willing to do whatever it takes to be a team player. My goal for the future is to attend a college studying Education and playing on the volleyball team.  I look forward to having a successful career and serving others.

  • 6 rotation outside hitter(Captain) To Whom It May Concern, I am honored to write this recommendation for Kaitlyn Estopare. I have the privilege of coaching Kaitlyn’s club volleyball team, Rockwood Thunder 17 White. When I first met Kaitlyn, her great attitude, talent, and work ethic were instantly apparent. Any competitive volleyball program would be lucky to have Kaitlyn as part of their team. Dedication is a quality that Kaitlyn does not lack. She is committed to being the best possible volleyball player she can be, and she will do anything to get there. She seeks out extra conditioning opportunities and is always focused on becoming better, faster, and stronger. Her passion for the game is contagious, and she is a player who consistently wants the ball when the pressure is on. Kaitlyn leads by example. She is a humble, hard-working athlete who will always do what is in the best interest of her team. Kaitlyn’s volleyball IQ has also proven to be a valuable asset to our team. She analyzes what is happening on both sides of the court, knows what to do to score, and encourages her teammates to do the same. Besides her immense volleyball talent and strong work ethic, Kaitlyn is also an exceptional person. In a short time, she has developed close relationships with her teammates and coaches through her infectious humor and love of the game. Kaitlyn is polite, gets along well with others, driven to improve, and extremely coachable. She wants the best for her team, and will stop at nothing to get there. Kaitlyn would be an outstanding addition to any volleyball program, and a joy to coach. She has my highest recommendation. I am happy to provide any more details if you would like additional information. Sincerely, Abbey Meier 17 White Head Coach Rockwood Thunder Volleyball Club 636.236.6971 [email protected]
