My plans after high school are to continue on to college and I am interested in the medical field but have not yet decided what part of this field. I am looking for a college that draws me in and that I connect with. I want a beautiful campus with a friendly environment.
I have been in band since the 6th grade and when I started high school marching band that is when I learned that I am not afraid to work hard. We had band rehearsal on every game day from 6 to 8pm. When it was possible I ran to make it to rehearsal. Even after I gave it my all on the court and then ran to rehearsal and still put 100% effort into my band rehearsal on the field. My band directors noticed the level of commitment that I was putting into the band and with them noticing this my sophomore year they promoted me to Drum Major. My junior year, as head Drum Major, at one of our biggest competitions we received an award for Best Drum Major.
One of my former teammates asked me why I am still so committed to volleyball. I told her that I love the game, the challenge, and being part of a team. I want to continue playing after high school because I love the game so much. I love that it challenges me physically and mental. I love the triumph of an ACE serve or a kill or even a kill block. I love the emotion of a well deserved victory and sharing that with my team. I love the lifestyle that comes with being a volleyball player, the team dinners, workouts, practice, and most importantly the games
