Hello, my name is Bridgette Rutledge and I am a 16 year old sophomore at Winona High School. Last year I was starter on the Varsity volleyball team. My Varsity team won class 1 state championship. This year I am starter and play all the way around as OH, MB, and DS. I have always been a starter since I started playing Volleyball in 4th grade. I am currently on my way to State again this year!!!
What sets me apart from most players is not just my height and my ability to play, but my attitude. My attitude is if you come to play and you play with your heart then no matter what the outcome is, your a winner. If you win or lose you do it as a team! I am aggressive and I do not enjoy losing but I will do everything I can on the court to ensure my team wins. This is the way my coaches in the past have taught me. If we do lose, then we lost because we needed to know what it would be like to lose. I am very energetic, I feed off of the crowd, and my family's support. I look intimidating on the court, but in reality I am a very fun going person. In school I have a close relationship with my teachers and coaches. I do well academically and I have scored Proficient on the English portion of MAP testing and Proficient on the Math EOC.
My future goal is to play volleyball in college! My idol is Destinee Hooker. My dream is to some day play with or against her, but since that's a dream, I would like to at least some day be as good as her. Since my first year playing volleyball I knew I wanted to play college volleyball. I am confident I will get there someday! Another future goal is to
