Peyton Janeway '22 Recruiting Profile

From a young age, I've been very active and always doing things to keep myself busy. I've been playing volleyball since my 7th grade year and deeply fell in love with it my freshman year. My head coach has influenced me to work for my goals, and you have to work hard to become the best. I am known for being the "energy" of the team. I am always hype and getting my team energized to win, and will always be the loudest person on the court. I have made honor roll since my freshman year and plan to continue that through college. Some of my hardest obstacles that I've had to overcome is my real father moving across the country and not being able to see him on the weekends. Some of my characteristics are that I'm always happy and smiling around other people because I just enjoy being able to spend time with my friends and family. I have a great work-ethic and am easy to coach. My favorite memory of my volleyball career is the divisional tournament of 2019 and beating our rival school for the first time in 6 years in 3 sets. That game showed me that no matter what happens in the regular season, if you work throughout the season to overcome obstacles as a team you can achieve your goals.
