Shoni has been a coach's daughter since birth and has always been in the gym, playing basketball, which her dad coaches, or playing volleyball with her sister. When Shoni gets home from school, if she does not get her homework done at school, she does her homework, and then she's right outside hitting the volleyball, by herself or with her older sister. Year around we have a full-court volleyball court set up at the house so we can go out and play or spot serving or Shoni can set the ball for some good hitting. We have squares set up for Shoni so when she serves she can hit the numbers that we call out and she has been able to do this since she's been a 6th grader. Shoni has been practicing her setting skills with the old rules and with these new set of rules that came out. She likes to have fun but takes volleyball seriously too. As I said before Shoni has other skills in basketball and track as well but her main love besides volleyball is rodeo, Shoni has been riding and roping since before she could walk. Shoni is a very hard and dedicated worker and athlete and she knows what she wants.
