When I started sports in the 5th grade, my passion was basketball. Being a 3 sport athlete I thought I knew what I wanted when it came to sports. Up until 8th grade I started seeing myself playing college volleyball. I even shocked myself because I was still deeply in love with basketball. I realized as I get older the way I see life and the things I love will change. My love for basketball changed to having love for volleyball. Every time I stepped onto that court I felt as if I could play for hours on end. High school volleyball season started, my team was amazing and I remember every experience that came along with the ups and down as a team. Not only did I learn from them but it also changed me as a person. I ended up not playing basketball or softball the rest of my high school years. I played club volleyball, and went to camps every chance I got. My 4 years of high school volleyball made me realize the love I have for volleyball and how after high school I wanted to continue my volleyball career while I study for my degree.
Playing college volleyball is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I would carry with me forever. I hope that college volleyball will create many additional possibilities for me. Opportunities to meet new people with similar interests and goals, continue to compete at a sport that I love, and most importantly, foster life-long friendships. I work extremely hard to improve and bring a positive energy to the team on and off the court. My long term goal is to receive an athletic scholarship for playing volleyball to help me financially, as well as give me the opportunity to play volleyball in college! Although I am not yet sure about what career I wish to pursue, I'm sure i'll find it on the way! Thank you for visiting my profile!
