Nadia VanSlyke '20 Recruiting Profile

Being named MVP and All Conference for three years has been the highlight of my high school career thus far.  However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete when we were the strong team at Sub-Districts and I had to make a very difficult decision, not to play because my shoulder was hurt in the last game of the season.  I was cleared by the doctor, but mentally not ready, so knowing that I would not be able to play to the best of my ability for my team, I decided to encourage from the sideline.  This experience helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-focus my leadership to help others become a strong leader also.

Throughout my athletics I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership.  I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.  I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.  As a three-sport athlete and 5 time captain, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
