My name is Mary Maguinness and I am located in Las Vegas, NV. I am currently a Junior at Arbor View High School, a competitive 5A school. I have played as a Libero/DS on Varsity my Sophomore and Junior year. Our school team has made it to the NIAA Playoffs the last two years and we are ranked 4 of 114 teams in Nevada. I will graduate from high school in 2026. For club, I am playing as Libero/DS for Vegas United VBC on the 17-1 National Team, we are ranked as one of the top teams in Las Vegas. Positions that I play include Libero and Defensive Specialist, but can also stand in as Setter.
I started playing volleyball in the fifth grade with my school team and immediately fell in love with the sport. I love everything about it; the energy, the grind and the teamwork. It has become such a large part of my life and hope to keep it going for as long as possible.
My goal is to also play volleyball in college. Ideally, I would love to go to college in the southwestern region of the US. I would love to study Biology in college. I really enjoy life science and cellular biology. I am also a people person, very outgoing and I would like to work with the community. Other hobbies that I enjoy include music, reading and snowboarding.
Sincerely,
Mary Maguinness
