2021 Highlights Personal Statement
My name is Laura Thayer. I am from Reno, NV and a Senior at Damonte Ranch High School. I'm part of the graduating class of 2023 and will graduate with an Honor's diploma. I have been playing volleyball since I was in the 3rd grade. Volleyball has been my passion and driving force since I was little. I have been playing club volleyball for six years and four of those as a setter. I have played on my high school varsity team for the three seasons. I want to go to college to become a teacher. I would love to teach elementary school and coach volleyball at the high school level. I am currently taking dual credit classes at my local community college. I can’t wait to start my next adventure in college.
