Alexis King '22 Recruiting Profile

Every time I step onto the court, I think to myself: try your hardest for you and your team; stay focused; stay smart, but have fun. Volleyball has been my passion for many years; I enjoy bonding with my team, competition, and pace that the game offers. I have made it one of the main goals in my life to continue to improve and achieve my upmost potential so that I can perform at the highest level in the sport I love. 

I am very eager to play at the collegiate level while focusing on a degree in the medical field. I have a 4.1 weighted GPA as well as play on my high school volleyball team as a setter; the same position I play on my volleyball club team.  I love being a setter; I love what the position brings with it: the leadership, the focus, and the fast pace it requires.  When it comes to my academics and volleyball, I am extremely dedicated, competitive, and confident.  After each tournament, I spend hours looking at game footage and critique my play to help me identify strengths and weaknesses. During practice, I continually look for ways to improve my skills along with assisting in team development and encourage each other to play our personal best. 

The dedication and desire I have to play this sport is emphatic. I sincerely believe that I have the aptitude, ability, and drive to attend and play at the next level in any school that will offer me the opportunity to strive using my capabilities and skills in the classroom as well as the volleyball court. My ultimate goal as a person is to become a well-rounded, successful person, and a role model for those who wish to pursue this sport and enjoy it with as much passion as I do.
