In a college volleyball program I am looking for a competitive atmosphere, a team with good sportsmanship, and a team that is close on and off the court. A competitive team is the number one priority as I always want to be playing the intense, fast paced, competitive, want to win games. That feeling of playing against a hard team and hanging in there with them, especially winning against them, is unmatched. In high school I have won the offensive MVP, and had the highest dig percentage on my team my junior year. Sportsmanship is also a veryimportant part of my volleyball career. I believe that you are competitors with the other team, btu I also believe that to be competitior you do not need to be mean or rude, you can still stay cmpetitve and kind. I have won the sportsmanship award and coaches award at my high school also, which I believe are some of my biggest accomplishments. Lastly the team bond. I believe that a strong team bond can be the difference between a winning and losing season. With every team I have been on team bonding has been a large portion of each season, I honestly feel as though every single girl I have played with since I have started volleyball is a part of family and I would not trade that feeling for anything in the world. I love knowing thta my teammates are always there and will always have my back, and I take pride in my temmates knowing that I will always be there for them.
My collegiate aspirations not only include athletics but also academics. Academics have been my top priority since I became a student athlete. My family lives by the motto " Good things happen when you do good things " and that has been my motivator for years. I currently have a 3.7 GPA at my high school and I am enrolled in two AP courses. When looking at colleges my intended major is either pre-med or biology as I wanted to be a pediatric trauma surgeon when I am older. I have made great strides towards this goal as I am attending a trip to Vietnam this summer to work as a surgical intern in a hospital in Hue Vietnam. I was granted this opportunity when I attended the Congress of Future Medical Leaders durig the summer of 2019. During this congress I was also granted the chance to become laureate certified in science and research writing. My goals are always in mind and I make sure that every choice I make leads me one step closer to that goal.
