Madison Sheppard '23 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing Volleyball for just over 3 years and have been excited to play since I was in 5th grade. The amount of joy I have when I step foot on the court shows in my face and the way I play. 

I'm a team player and motivate my teammates by cheering for them and saying words of encouragement; a little dance here and there make them laugh and forget about a bad play. I'm very coachable and work hard to be the best I can be; my club coach refers to me as 'a diamond in the rough'. 

While my specialty is Middle Hitter, I also play Outside, Right Side and have dabbled as a Defense Specialist. I have a good jump serve and can hit with my right hand as well as my left hand. When Volleyball season is over, I like to continue to practice my serves, digs, and hits in my yard. I have been working with our HS JV team to help develop their skills to better prepare them for games.

Academically, I work hard to keep my grades up as school is my main focus. I always work hard and am not shy to ask my teachers for additional help to make sure I can get the best education and keep my grades up to make Honor Roll.  I have challenged myself with honors classes to push myself and get better prepared for college.

Playing Volleyball in College is a dream, I hope I am lucky enough to get that opportunity. I am looking for a College that is the perfect fit for me where I can work towards my goal of becoming a profiler for the FBI as well as join a great Volleyball team.
