Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Banas. To begin, I want to answer some common questions I receive amongst my peers. Yes, I am 6'1. Yes, the weather is great up here. No, I do not play basketball.  Instead, I am a fierce volleyball player who is currently playing on Princeton Volleyball Club. The last three years of my life have been volleyball orientated, and before that, my life was scattered with sports such as soccer, basketball, lacrosse, swimming, and more. A coordinated attacker, I am looking to improve upon this coming club season with quicker speed of play and am constantly working on increasing my vertical. If I had to describe myself as a volleyball player, I would say that I am diligent, versatile, and a very dynamic player. In school, I am very meticulous about my grades, maintaining a 4.0 unweighted GPA in six AP classes and eight honors courses thus far. In school, my goals are to finish school with a 4.0 GPA and improve my SAT score using online resources. In the classroom, I am very driven and am aiming to receive my AP Capstone Diplopia this year, recognized by the College Board. I am also very involved with my school and community, participating in activities like Girls Scouts, National Honors Society, and Debate Team. Focusing on college, I am just looking for a good fit that is both academically and athletically challenging. Thank you for reading my bio and I hope you have an amazing day!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Banas
