Danyelle Balaskovits '15 Recruiting Profile

As a Senior Outside Hitter for the Henry P. Becton Regional High School volleyball team, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, I know what it takes to be a student athlete.  I am interested in extending my education both on and off the court at your school. Similar to the other players, I have developed into an adept athlete due to strong coaching, a tenacious work ethic and natural ability.  For the past two seasons, I have served as a captain of a highly-competitive team.  In addition, I have earned numerous accolades; specifically during my junior year.  In the Fall 2013 season, I led the team in kills and was voted as an All Conference Second Team selection. As a 5’11 Outside Hitter, I am very committed to becoming the best player I can be.  I have recently added a jump serve to my skill set and I believe it brings another dimension to my overall game.  As far as versatility, I could play back row as well as Outside Hitter.  No matter what capacity or position, I work hard in practice on performing enhanced aspects of the game. In fact, I attended a summer camp recently at a rival school because I felt it could help me to improve both offensively and defensively. I was voted Most Outstanding Camper who has the most potential to play at a higher level.
