Nina Cao '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am XinXin or Nina Cao. I am a member of the class of 2024 at Marlboro High School in New Jersey. 

I was introduced to volleyball in middle school and it became a hobby of mine since then. However, I was involved in other extracurriculars like Taekwondo, basketball, and art. Eventually, I started playing for my school during sophomore year. That is the year I started to become attatched to this sport and became a starter. After, I moved schools and started playing on varsity in my new school. Now, I am playing for Garden State Attack Volleyball Club as a middle blocker and outside. 

Through my years of doing sports, I have developed quality chatacteristics like perseverance, courage, and positive outlooks. These charcteristcs have elped me push through the harsh and low times and allowed me to continue developing my skills and inner character. Having these traits have assisted me to bond with my teams and always have cheerfulness in ourselves. Ontop of that, I also have a strong adaptability skill due my unique experience of moving across countries several times. I can compromise to any event and make every effort possible to create the best outcome possible. 

I stay ontop of my schoolwork, presently having a GPA of 4.9/4.6 weighing in APs and Honors classes. In addition to that, volleyball is something that I commit to on a daily basis. I balance my schoolwork and volleyball; allowing for me to keep both on my tasks. On the surface, I may be like any other person that have an enthusiasm for volleyball. There are goals that I want to achieve and I am willing to sacrifice for them; therefore, this makes me very determined and a hard worker. This allows me to develop many things into a passion; examples include volleyball.

My goal and dream is to continue playing volleyball in my college years and after the graduation of college. Volleyball makes me so delighted and euphoric and it has been a blessing that I was introduced to this sport. I hope to become the greatist I can be and help others discover what they truly enjoy.
