UPDATE 9/23: Currently playing volleyball at and enrolled Fairleigh Dickinson University - Florham Park (Class of 2027). Entering Transfer Portal.
Hi! My name is Lindsay Davis and am currently a senior for the Class of 2023 at New Milford High School in northern New Jersey and I want to thank you for visiting my profile.
I began playing volleyball in 7th grade and instantly fell in love with the sport, and have playing ever since. I have been fortunate enough to be a starter every year I have played, including making Varsity at my high school and starting as a sophomore as a Middle Hitter and also have experience as a RS/Opposite.
I feel I have worked hard to improve each year and better myself on and off the court and in the classroom. I have made Honor Roll continually and was inducted as a member of the National Honor Society last year. Presently my GPA is just shy of a 3.8, and I scored 1070 on my SATs.
On the court, I earned Coach’s Awards for Most Improved (9th), Most Consistent Player (10th, 11th and 12th) and Player of the Year honors (11th and repeating in 12th which was the first time in school history someone won back to back). I was named a Captain last year and this year, and I also earned First Team All-League honors last year as a Junior and also received First Team All-League this year as a senior. Also, I was honored to be named by NJ.com to their All-Group Teams receiving Third Team All-Group 1 and was ranked by NJPowerRanking.com as the 21st overall player in the state for regular season in 2022.
I finished the season among the top of my league, county and even state in some categories including Kills, Blocks and Digs overall and average per game. Most importantly, I wanted to be a leader for my team, set an example for the younger players and do whatever I can to help my teammates and coaches, and I feel that I was able to accomplish that.
It was also an honor to receive 3 varsity letters in both basketball and softball and all-league honors in both sports as well. These accomplishments helped me earn the award of Senior Athlete of the Year in 2023 from my school.
My hope is to continue playing this sport that I love and excel on and off the court at the next level in college. I have been told I am very coachable and always eager to learn and improve. I consider my teammates my extended family and would love the opportunity to continue to play volleyball with a whole new family.
Thank you for considering me and look forward to hearing from you.
