My name's Maalese Wallace, and I'm currently in my 6th year of club. I started hitting as an outside around 6 years ago and I am always working on improving other areas of my game. My club teams have qualified for the GNJC 6 years in a row (2 in National Division and 4 in the Open Division) our 15s we finished 5th in Open. All though I did not play volleyball in middle school, I made varsity a freshman. As a freshman, I was named starting Opposite, and was voted Most Improved Player by my teammates and coaches. I am a 3 starter and 2-time defending New Mexico 5A State Champions and looking forward to competing in my senior season. My sophomore season I was the starting varsity opposite with a great core of returning players, and we again made it to playoffs. I love making a difference with my team in school, at practice especially during the games. I pride my self on being an example whether it’s with maximum effort or motivating words. Education and community service are most important to me, was proud to be selected for National Honor Society.
My hope is to get a great college education, play volleyball for that school, and have impact on my teammates, coaches, school, and community.
In my college search, I’m looking to stay primarily in the south/southwest, but would be open to the best fit academically and athletically. My dream is to major in sociology or psychology. Thank you!
