Hi my name is Camryn Nelson. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and have been playing volleyball since I was 12 years old. When I was 13 years old, I realized that I really wanted to play volleyball in college. I knew that this was going to take a lot of hard work but I was up for it. I am still working hard at this goal today. I love playing with all my teammates and working hard with them every week. I like to be a leader on the court but also at school. I also love to bring positive energy to try to give my team momentum to push through a tough game and win.
I attend Sandia Preparatory School located in Albuquerque. It is a 4A private college preparatory school that is for grades 6-12. I have been on the varsity level since I was in 8th grade. In middle school I played sports like basketball and softball when the volleyball season had ended. The work load can get really heavy sometimes and with club volleyball, it can get hard to manage my time well. However, I will always work my hardest and do whatever it takes to never receive a letter grade below a B.
I would love to play volleyball in college and I love to work hard and always aspire to be the best player and student that I can be. Thank you.
