Hello,
My name is Kaylen, and I’m in my 5th, going on 6th year of club. I started playing volleyball around fifth grade after playing every other sport imaginable. I always look for ways to improve my skills and my game. Throughout middle school, I was a hitter in all positions and one of the consistent servers on the team. I played on the freshman team my eighth-grade year & junior varsity the past two years. In club, I am a middle hitter/opposite hitter and was voted “Most Improved Player”, my 14U and 16U club seasons. I love to make/be a presence on the court, motivate my teammates, push them and myself past our limits, and pick us up when the team is down. I hold myself to a high standard- maintaining a GPA of 3.6 or higher, staying on track with my workouts, etc.. My goal is to receive a great college education, play volleyball for that school, and possibly win a National Championship Title with that team. I may dream big, but I will continue to work hard to achieve those dreams. My work ethic is based on that of different music artists that have been influential to my life. Never losing sight of what I want to achieve and what causes me to tick, but to also stay humble to become the best player, teammate, and ultimately, the best person I can be. To always remember why I do what I do is because it makes me happy.
In my college search, I am looking to attend an NAIA or NCAA Division I, II, or III school primarily in the southwest, but I am open to other places both in academics and athletics. I plan to major in Nursing and minor in Business, Psychology, or Ministry.
