My ultimate goal is to go to medical school to become a pediatrician. The dream is to be able to go to college while also playing volleyball, the sport I fell in love with in 8th grade. I believe that everyday is only a successful day, if I've learned something new no matter what it consists of or how small or irrelevant it may be to someone else. Because of that mentality I've have been successful in my high school career being captain of my volleyball team while maintaining a 3.2 GPA. I am a sponge that is ready to absorb any knowledge or skill that will help me better my situation not only for myself but for the people in my life specifically my family. I am a first generation Dominican-American who has had to learn about things most high school students don't know anything about because of the language barrier. Even though my parents only speak Spanish , I've watched them do and earn whatever they needed to get their family through life. Every accomplishment is not only for myself but for them.
