Victoria Cruz '27 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play collegiate volleyball while earning my college degree. I’m not sure exactly what major I want to pursue but I know my education is essential for my success in the future. Playing volleyball has already open doors to me that I’ve never even thought of and playing at a college level will be and experience that will stay with me forever. 

I currently play 2 positions between my Varsity High School team and my club team. I’m a Setter and a Libero for both teams. This is only my second year playing volleyball but ever since touching that court something in me has totally changed. I had no idea I would love the game so much. I also attend  private 1on1 coaching in my respective positions. There’s still so much for me to learn and although I love just being on the court and just having fun I still take my training very serious. In a sea of littles I know I have to go 10times as hard and that’s a big part of my drive. Im able to find that balance between the two which is important even if we are down my positive attitude can keep  my teammates in the game. 

My parents have allowed me explore this passion that I have without question. I’ve never played any other sport, and I didn’t even know I liked sports until playing volleyball. I’m very great full for these opportunities given to me which I don’t take for granted. Discovering athletic abilities I didn’t even know existed just makes me want to train even harder. I will be great assist to any program that welcomes me. I’m 5’2” as of today but play much bigger.
