Since I was young I have always wanted to work somewhere I could help people that needed it. Some day I would love to pursue a career in the medical field. In college I hope to find an internship that will help me get to my goal of being a doctor. My longterm goal is to become a cardiologist or a surgeon. Along with my goal of becoming a surgeon I think that playing volleyball in college would really pave the way for my goals. Volleyball has always been my favorite sport even when I played softball when I was younger. Watching volleyball games inspired me to play and I’m very glad I started. Playing volleyball has taught me to work with my team and to be patient and a team player. When I started playing volleyball I had no idea what I’d be capable of but through the years of playing I’ve learned a lot. I would make a very good candidate for a team because I work extremely hard and am very motivated. Through the years of playing volleyball I’ve had many bad games and after those games I am always ready to get back in the gym, work hard and make the next game better than the one before. Something that might make me different from other recruits is my academics in school. I have not only been motivated in my sports but also in school as well. As soon as I could in school I got into all the advanced placement classes I could. These classes challenge me every day and require a large amount of effort to get through. No matter how hard these classes are at times I know that they will benefit me in college and my career in the future.
