Hi, My name is Giana DeCato. I am a 2023 two year starting outside hitter for Saint John School in Ohio. I started competitive volleyball when I was 8 years old and my passion for the sport grows more each time I am on the court. As an athlete, academics have always been a huge priority for me. Succeeding in academics plays a large role in my life. I am a coachable player that strives to improve as much as I can. Volleyball has taught me so many important lessons. The sport has helped me grow into the person and athlete I am today. As well as it is such a great outlet. While the sport is indeed very upbeat it helps me free my mind. When I am on the court I seek good sportsmanship. I am a great team player and think having a good relationship with your teammates plays a huge role on the court. Looking into the future, I hope to pursue a career in the FBI/ criminology. I truly am so thankful for this sport. I would not be where I am today without the help of my coaches, teachers, trainers, friends, teammates, and family. They have all pushed me to be the person, student, or player I am today.
