I was introduced to volleyball in the seventh grade. I learned I loved the game. I started club volleyball the season after my seventh grade year. The following club season, I tried out for the regional team and made it. I had a lot of fun and made great friends. Even though I was not on winning teams, I persisted on working on my skills. I joined a CrossFit club in the off season . I was also invited to an Ohio Valley Region (OVR) volleyball camp where I learned numerous things and was able to improve my game tremendously. The next school season, I was the only freshman to make the Junior Varsity team where I started and played all the way around. We finished second in our conference. This last year in club I was moved up to an American team and we had a great season. We finished our year going 31 sets undefeated winning two tournaments . Our last game we lost 18-16 to a national team ranked second. We finished fifth in the OVR's out of 177 teams. Presently, I am the only Sophomore starting and playing all the way around on the school Varsity team.
I have a positive attitude and I am very coachable. I am a well-rounded person as I play the guitar and sing in my church worship band . I have participated in drum line in marching band for two years. I've also showed two horses and won numerous awards in 4-H . I volunteer at my church to help out with youth programs and at a local nursing home where I sing and help in the activities department. Now I work as a dietary aide at that same nursing home. I work very hard at maintaining good grades in school while taking advanced courses. I love the game and I would love to continue to play it as long as I can. I do not know exactly what I want to study, but I am interested in studying something with science, or I would like to become an athletic trainer in the future.
