My name is Iyanna Battle, I am 5â10 and 128lbs in the 11th grade. I was introduced to volleyball in the sixth grade and have had an interest in it ever since. It wasnât until my freshman year of high school that I had became acquainted with J.O. and joined the volleyball club âVertical Forceâ regional team in Eastlake, Ohio. During my time there I played as a middle and gained exposure to the opposite position. Not too long after joining, I attained recognition for my athleticism and my progression within the game.
In the short time that Iâve been playing volleyball I have grown to love this sport along with itâs qualities. I have acquired a need to win as well as the spirit that pushes me to do anything in order to achieve a goal. My previous teammates and coaches have described me as a positive player with a drive for competition. This sport has opened me up to building relationships with those around me and setting an example for other players the best way that I can. I plan to pursue this sport to a collegiate level and push my abilities as an athlete.
