Hi, I know I may be young in your eyes to be asking for a scholarship, but from what I have read, I have to start asking as soon as I am wise enough to ask! I have been playing volleyball since I was eleven (11). I want to convince you how strongly I feel about playing volleyball. I plan on continuing to be a dynamic player and a positive influence on the team you coach. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college volleyball career, I will strive to be an asset. Most importantly, I will always conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the court, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, the school I attend, and most important, my Mom and Dad.
I have been told that I have strong ball handling skills, soft hands, and I have a high volleyball IQ. I have been the captain of my team since last year. I try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I have been told I am the glue that holds my team together as I tend to be very level headed while playing (my dad is very laid back, my mom says she knows where I get it from). I want you to see me display my loyalty, my dedication, my perseverance and my diligence every time you see me on the court.
Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I want to attend the college that will allow me to push myself in the classroom and on the volleyball court. I ultimately want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I may be level-headed, but am highly competitive. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and again, make my parents proud.
