Junior Nationals ...Personal Statement
My goal would be able to continue my love of playing volleyball in college. I honestly don't want it to end after high school! I started playing volleyball in the fourth grade and fell in love with the sport. I have learned a lot through the years about commitment and toughness required to play at a higher level. This commitment has allowed me to play at a National club level, starting as an outside hitter, playing all six rotations for the past three years. The one thing my parents have always instilled in me is the value of hard work, nothing is handed to you, you must work for everything. Because of this I push myself to be a better player and push my teammates to be the best they can be as well.
This year has been absolutely amazing! I am truly thankful that we were able to play volleyball. COVID was not going to take anything away from my team and I. We finished our season 22-1, won our league as well as Districts, Sectionals and Regionals earning a spot in the Final Four State tournament finishing the season 3rd in the State of Ohio Division 2.
Not only do I push myself athletically but academically too. Currently I have a 3.5 GPA. By attending college it will open doors for me later in life. I work hard to maintain my grades and plan to do so at the next level. I hope volleyball will provide me that chance to follow my dreams and look forward to what the future will bring!
