I set high goals for myself, and I won't stop fighting until I reach them. My first goal is important to me and that is excelling in academics: my freshman year is really going to set the tone for the next six years. I plan to get my undergrad in Special Education and my Master's in Speech & Language Pathology. GPA's are important. My second goal is to learn how to be a self-advocate: my parents aren't going off to college with me. Speak up, let my requests be known, and handle conflict like an adult. Standing up for myself in college will make my life easier and help move myself towards independence. And finally, enjoy every bit of it.
