Dear Coaches,
My name is Abigail Bean and I am a 2027 setter. I was introduced to volleyball in 8th grade where I fell in love with the sport. Over the last 3 years I have put countless hours into improving in the sport. I played for my High School JV2 team as a freshman and then I was a varsity swinger my sophomore year. . When I was deciding what club team I wanted to play for I chose Mt Hood Volleyball club. I chose Mt. Hood because Coach Sue Doan is the head coach for my school and the director of the club. I know Sue has a standard for her coaches in both skill and creating culture, and I knew that I would be pushed to be the best player I could be. Sue wants to win just as much as her players do and for me that a huge motivation in playing. As a freshman I was on the 15U-1 nationals team where I learned and grew as much as I could as a player. During my sophomore year I was put on Mt. Hoods 16U-1 national team. On this team I learned so much not only as a player but as a person. Coach Zoe Young starts with fundamentals on the court and she never stops pushing her players. On all the teams I've been on I strive to be the most coachable and uplifting player on the court. But I also stive to be the best friend all my teammates could need to help them have the best season they could imagine.
My goal is to play for a competitive college while still getting a good education. I plan to major in nursing or pre med. I want to go into pediatrics and neonatal. I want to have the experience of growing my volleyball career and my education, and the opportunity to play volleyball in collage is the way to do that.
Thank you for taking time to look at my profile and I hope to hear from you soon!
