Reese Wakeman '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I'm Reese. I'd be a good asset to any team, and perhaps different, because of my kindness and empathy towards players on my side of the net, and on the opposite side of the net. But even so, that doesn't mean that I'm not competitive. When I'm in a supportive environment, I will do almost anything to get better at volleyball and be the best team mate I can be. I respect every coach I play for. I was a competitive figure skater for 8 years along side playing volleyball so I have an extreme amount of stamina to take on any challenge being thrown at me. However, My biggest critic is myself. But I also push myself the hardest. If someone is running faster than me, oh wait, now I'm ahead. No one accepts that they have flaws, but I believe that in flaws, there can be strength. I'm quite intelligent when it comes to being strategic, sometimes in creative ways. Sometimes they don't work but most of the time, it's better to try something and fail than always be wondering if it would work or not.
