Sophie Mentzer '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Sophie Mentzer. I am currently 16 years old and a junior at Shalom Christian Academy, I have been playing volleyball since 5th grade. Throughout these years my love for volleyball has grown stronger and I can’t imagine life without volleyball after high school. I have loved and valued every coach and teammate I’ve had. My position is playing as a Libero or a Defense Specialist, where I am challenged to be fast, determined, and strong. I love playing this position and learning new skills that I can put into practice onto the court. My goal is to play college volleyball in the future and to keep getting better. I don’t know what I would like to major in yet, but I do have some ideas.
