The rivalry school games are what I remember the most, the heat of the games and how well my team interacted with each other. It matters to me most about how much effort my team and I put into a game. I will always make sure when I walk off the court that I gave it my all. Being on the court with the rest of my teammates gives me a sense of pride and joy that nothing else except for volleyball can do. The motivation and determination of the game is what makes volleyball have a special place in my heart.
I also enjoy getting feedback from my coaches. Coaches have different styles and I'm pleased that I can work with all types of styles to improve myself and help my team. I know they have my best interests at heart and want to push me to become the best middle I can be. I take all comments in and work on improving during the next practice, drill, or match.
I'm proud to say that I learned more than just skills from playing volleyball. The lessons of teamwork, perserverance, and never giving up have been implemented in my own life. The involvement in my community with programs like Student Council, Minithon Commitees, and being class president gives me the chance to show my leadership off the court. The tenacity that I have built up is translated into my school work, making me want to strive to be the best. I am blessed to have the opportunity for volleyball to continue into my college years. I would love to bring my commitment to your team!
