My family influenced who I am a great deal. We spend a lot of time together no matter the activity. I first found an interest in volleyball when I watched my older sister play and heard my Mom talk about playing when she was in high school. I didn't get to play much my 7th grade year, but I kept striving and I started varsity my Freshman year. Our team made it to the District quarter finals. I was a varsity starter, and only underclassmen, my Sophomore year when our season ended in the District semi-finals. Playing with upperclassmen helped my game all the way around, including aggressiveness, leadership and gave me a better understanding of the game. I'm not generally an outspoken person, but volleyball has helped me become more of a leader amongst my teammates and friends. I plan to stay on track to graduate high school with high honors and then find a University that will help me reach my potential both personally and athletically.
