My name is Alyssa, and I’m competing in my 7th year of club volleyball. Since my first year, I have been switching positions and getting training in each position all-around. Through 8th and 9th grade, I was my middle school and then high school Junior Varsity team captain until I moved up to the Varsity team. My freshman year, I was an all around outside hitter, and then I moved up to varsity half way through the season to become starting libero. My sophomore and junior season, I was an all-around outside hitter and occasionally a setter or libero, rarely leaving the court all season. I was also varsity team captain through my junior season. I love bringing energy and excitement to the court and raising the spirit of the team. I always maintain a positive attitude, while staying competitive and working hard on the court. I love playing, learning, and watching the sport and I am always open to any coaching or critique. I try my best at everything I do, whether it is getting all A’s in class, reaching the highest level in my EMT program, getting into special programs at my school, like National Honor Society, or starting on varsity. My future plans are to get a great college education, play volleyball for my school, and continue my education to become a specialized medical doctor.
In my college search, I am looking to go somewhere in the southeast, but would be open to anywhere with a great fit academically and athletically. I am looking to study Biology in college and to go on to medical school.
