I first started playing the sport I now love when I was 11 years old. Since then, there hasn't been a day where I haven't stepped on the volleyball court with an uplifting attitude and an eagerness to work hard. I hope to continue my days on the court at the collegiate level. I understand that playing at the collegiate level is a privilege and that I will have to work very hard to earn a spot on a college team.
I am a very strong figure on the court and I lead by encouraging my teammates and keeping the energy and communication level at maximum. I push myself to jump higher for each hit or block and I challenge myself to hit to specific locations on the court to make the smart play. I never give less than my best effort and I am able to catch on to new skills quickly. I am very respectful to my coaches and teammates.
At school, I am enrolled in all of the honors classes available at my grade level and I maintain an A average. I volunteer at a local soup kitchen and participate in a number of non-athletic clubs at my school including environmental club and SADD.
I would like to attend a college where I can work hard both on and off the volleyball court. My goal is to play at the highest level possible and I am open to all options and opportunities. I plan to share my encouraging attitude wherever I go, and, I hope to make my family, teammates, and coaches proud.
