My name is Emma and I am a sophomore at Rustin High School in West Chester PA. I am passionate about volleyball and my goal is to continuing playing in college at a university where I can continue to grow academically and athletically. I plan to play on the East Coast Power 17 1s team out of King of Prussia PA.
I aspire to follow in the footsteps of my parents who were both athletes at Penn State. My mom played tennis (94-98) and my dad played football (93-97) and continued his career after college playing 8 years in the NFL. My parents have instilled in me a strong work ethic and desire to succeed. I have learned from them how difficult being a division 1 athlete can be, and I know I can handle it and I am up for the challenge!
I am currently 6'1 and still growing, I am a six position player for club and high school as well as a team leader. I was all conference my freshman year and this year I am leading my team, the league (chesmont), and in the top 5 in the state in kills. I am shooting for 1000+ kills by my senior year. I have recently started weight training and jump training and I continue to increase my reach.
I have a 3.8 GPA and my academics is my top priority. I want to attend a school that will enable me to continue to grow as an athlete and a scholar. I am still undecided for my field of study but I am spending time in my community with professionals from various fields to decide what I am most passionate about.
