Since my first club volleyball practice at the age of 9, I have always found myself eagerly anticipating the next time that I would set foot on the court to play again. After five years of local club play, I commuted to NY to play on a dynamic, collaborative team. I engaged in fast, high-level play, with a positive and goal-minded team culture, and developed strong collaborative relationships with teammates aligning with my goals for college play. I'm returning to East Coast Power for the 2021 Tournament season so that I can dedicate more time to in-person academics at school (as a result of Covid). I have experience playing OH, DS, and libero, and this spring I look forward to playing OH for my 18's team at ECP. Playing in these positions at the fast-moving 18 Open levels as a Junior really helps push me to faster play both as a defender, passer, and as a hitter. Volleyball teaches me many things: time management, leadership, teamwork, a growth mindset, and resilience through any challenge.
Please note: my High School does not have a volleyball program. I have used the fall months for strength and conditioning to prepare for my club's start in early November. While I would love to use my volleyball skills for a high school team, this has given me opportunities to be involved at school in new ways and to prepare for a rigorous club season.
