I'm very passionate about volleyball and would love to pursue it at a high level, while attending a school with rigorous academics. I believe I'm a good fit for the setting position because I enjoy the challenges that come with it, as you are accountable of setting the ball for the next point. Specifically, I'm fascinated by the mental aspect of quick decision making that is unique to the position. As a natural leader, and captain of my club team as well as my School team, I also take responsibilities in other school activities, as the Red Cross Chapter and ERCSA (Experimental Research Center for Sustainable Agriculture). Thanks to my hard work, I have become the school team captain for the 2020-2021 academic year.
I have plans to attend university and complete my major in business. In school, I am a strong student, active member of the NHS (National Honor Society) and elective classes that helps me face new challenges. I am looking to play for a college or university that meets both my academic and athletic goals.
On the volleyball court, I am an excellent team player who understands that each person on the court plays a particular role, but that playing together as a team is what makes the difference between winning and losing. I am a setter and captain of my team, but am also considered one of my team’s defensive specialists and best passers. I consider myself as a giver, as I enjoy helping and supporting my teammates.
I am known for my consistency, all-around play on the court and positive attitude. I am also even-tempered on the court and do not get rattled even when the game is on the line. I have a competitive nature, my parent coming from competitive Tennis.
