Ivana Burgos '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ivana Burgos, I play volleyball since I was nine years old, and I'm from Coamo, Puerto Rico. I'm currently a 5’5’’ outside hitter, looking forward to  transition to the libero/defensive specialist position. My goals are to play college volleyball at a high level, along with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Dietetics/Nutrition Sciences. My dream as an athlete is to be part of recognize and prestige institution. That being said, it's pretty clear I'm available to sacrifice leaving my home to pursue my dream in a school that offers me a quality education and the opportunity to reach my full potential as a Volleyball player in a healthy and safe environment.

As an athlete on the court, I've been team captain through all my high school experience.  I am very competitive, and I’m always putting in the extra hours off the court to continue my development. I'm very supportive of my teammates, and I love to cheer them up when needed.  I'm a full-on approachable and adaptable athlete that pays close attention to coaches instructions and is always willing to learn and improve my technique.
