I am just starting my junior year of high school and I'm currently in my tryout week for school volleyball. I have never been more excited for something in my life, I have so much hope for my team and myself, for this season and for school. Times like these make me realize that I genuinely love this time of year and this sport more than anything. I have had tryouts every day so far this week but lately any spare time I have is spent thinking about the next step, college and my desire to play at that level. I'm hoping to go to school on the East Coast, not too close to my home in New England, but I'm really open to going anywhere new in the world. I'm looking forward to being able to adventure, travel and experience new things. I like to believe that I can make any place, or any team, feel like home. I started on varsity my freshman and sophomore year and I'm hoping to say the same this year. Unlike past seasons though, I have a hope of being one of my teams two captains. As a setter I naturally have leadership skills, I know how to run a court and keep morale thriving. I try my best to lift my teammates up and I understand the importance of a team that connects with each other. I work hard at my goals and if I want something I will find the motivation for it. That's why I am looking into everything I can do to play volleyball in college. Thank you, Mia:)
